Launch of myDATA goods e-delivery reporting regime delayed four months to April 2025
The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR) and the Greek Ministry of Economy and Finance have announced updates to the implementation of the e-delivery system on the myDATA platform, which enables real-time tracking of goods movement. Initially scheduled for December 1, 2024, the rollout has been postponed to provide businesses with a phased timeline, reducing compliance burdens and ensuring a smoother transition.
e-delivery phased launch
- 1 April 1, 2025: Mandatory for companies with 2022 revenues exceeding €200,000 and those in key sectors, including pharmaceuticals, energy, construction materials, and olive oil.
- 1 October 2025: Extends to all companies, implementing comprehensive digital tracking and QR code scanning for shipment monitoring.
- 1 January 2026: public sector entities with optional compliance for all businesses during transition periods.
Features of e-Delivery
The electronic transport document, or e-CMR, enhances transparency by tracking shipment origins and destinations, reducing paperwork, and streamlining logistics operations. Benefits include cost savings, elimination of administrative delays, and improved accuracy in delivery and billing.
Exceptions
Certain groups, such as farmers under the special VAT regime and public or private employees conducting occasional sales, are exempt. Goods moved through continuous flow networks, tools for technicians, and undertaker activities are also excluded.
Future Rollout
The system will be mandatory for public sector entities by January 1, 2026, with optional compliance for all businesses during transition periods.
