Kosovo has reduced its VAT rate on hotel accommodation to 8%. This applies retrospectively from 7 December 2020 until 31 December 2021.
Many other countries have reduced their tourism and hospitality rates since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. These include: Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Czech Republic.
In addition, the Balkan state has cut VAT rates on certain agricultural insurance policies.
