Thailand has delayed the deadlines on Value Added Tax filings again due to the economic impact of the coronavirus. The Thai Revenue office has changed the monthly returns dates as follows:
- June returns – due 30th instead of 15th July
- July returns – due 31 August instead of 15th August
Throughout 2020, Thailand provided regular suspensions on filing deadlines as the country wrestled with the first lockdown. It also provided exemptions on VAT . Thai standard VAT rate is 7%. The easements of compliance obligations also apply to non-resident businesses with a local VAT registration.
